What is Hourly Worker?

An hourly worker is an employee that is paid per unit of time, in this case a set amount of money per each hour worked. Factory work that is hourly may be managed by time clocks that keep a record of when the employee is on duty and off duty. The time clock is placed at the factory entrance and a card is punched with the time in and the time out. Hours worked past full time employment are compensable at an overtime rate.
