Component Video Inputs — Component video inputs (Y/Pb/Pr) consist of the luminance signal (Y) and two separate chrominance signals (Pb and Pr). These inputs provide outstanding resolution and colour accuracy for video images. Televisions with component video inputs can accept either progressive or interlaced signals from a variety of sources, including DVD players and digital TV set-top boxes.
