What is Bolete boletus?

Bolete boletus — The name of a large group of (mostly edible) fungi, which includes the cep (cépe). Boletes are characterised by the sponge-like texture of the bottom side of the cap. Boletes are found in most parts of the world from Europe to China and Africa. Despite popular belief, not all boletes/boletus are edible, so be very careful if picking wild mushrooms.
