What is Granita?

Granita — An Italian sorbet made of lightly sweetened syrup, often flavoured with coffee or liqueur. It’s made with a basic sorbet mixture but is stirred during freezing to achieve a coarse texture. It needs to be served as soon as it’s ready and is traditionally served either between courses or as a refreshment, but it also makes a light and zingy dessert.
