Skip Tracers & Skip Tracing Information: Skip Tracing is one of the basic elements of investigation utilized by private investigators and police agencies in order to find missing persons. Skip Tracing refers to the art of finding persons, such as lost witnesses, missing heirs, unknown bank account holders, or delinquent debtors, who have "skipped" the jurisdiction, or who are otherwise missing. Such persons always leave a paper trial of some kind and the art is in following the paper to the prize. Those that do skip tracing are called skip tracers.
