What is Variance?
Variance — A variance occurs when there is a disagreement between the specific allegation in the pleadings and the actual proof adduced at trial. Also, the term refers to a departure from local city zoning ordinances. This is called a variance and is granted by the city governing body, usually to facilitate a particular development or preferred land use.
