Yellow Dog Contract — A yellow dog contract is no longer a legal practice. Employers would in the past sometimes require new employees and current employees to sign an agreement that they would not join a union. The agreement was a condition of employment or continued employment. The practice is now prohibited by the National Labor Relations Act.
