Angel Whispers Chirstmas Special Recipe

Ingredients

• butter. . . . 1 cup
• confectioners sugar. . . ½ cup
• all-purpose flour. . . 2 cups
• lemon zest. . . . 1 teaspoon
• salt. . . . ½ teaspoon
• egg, beaten. . . .1
• white sugar. . . . 2/3 cup
• teaspoons lemon zest. . . .1 ½
• lemon juice. . . . 3 tablespoons
• butter. . . . .1 ½ tablespoons

How to make Angel Whispers Chirstmas Special

1. In a medium bowl, cream together butter and confectioners` sugar until light.
2. Stir in the lemon peel, flour and salt.
3. Cover bowl, and chill for about 1 hour.
4. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
5. Flatten teaspoons of dough onto cookie sheets, and bake for 5 to 8 minutes, until light brown.
6. Remove from baking sheets to cool on racks.
7. To make the filling, combine the beaten egg, sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice and butter in the top of a double boiler.
8. Stir until thick.
9. Sandwich cookies with 1 teaspoon of filling.
