What is Hearsay information?

Hearsay information — An out of court statement of a non party, other than the one testifying as to the statement, sought to be admitted into evidence, as proof of the matter asserted in the out of court statement. Hearsay is ordinarily not admissible evidence, but there are at least 14 exceptions to the rule.
